Admiral Travis Sinniah (Retd) shares strategic insights on Littoral Warfare with naval officers

A two-day guest lecture on Littoral Warfare was conducted by Admiral Travis Sinniah (Retd) at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee, on 04 and 05 Oct 25.

The programme was organized under the supervision of the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera, with the objective of enhancing the professional knowledge of officers serving in the Fleet, Eastern Naval Command as well as officer under-trainees.

During the insightful sessions, Admiral Sinniah (Retd) drew upon his extensive naval career to share valuable perspectives on modern littoral warfare strategies, operational challenges, and the evolving role of naval forces in upholding national maritime interests.

The lecture provided a timely and enriching learning opportunity for participating officers, broadening their understanding of contemporary maritime operations and reinforcing the importance of preparedness in dynamic littoral environments.

During his visit, Admiral Sinniah (Retd) also took time to visit SLNS Sagara, engaging with officers and sailors onboard.
