Indonesian Naval Ship KRI BRAWIJAYA-320 departs island

The Indonesian Naval Ship KRI BRAWIJAYA-320 which called at the Port of Colombo, concluded her stay in Sri Lanka and departed the island on 31 Aug 25. In keeping with time- honoured naval traditions, the Sri Lanka Navy extended a customary farewell to the departing vessel at the Port of Colombo.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda and Commanding Officer of the ship held official interaction onboard KRI BRAWIJAYA-320. The interactions were further strengthened through traditional ceremonies onboard, attended by the Ambassador of Indonesia to Sri Lanka and the Commander of the Navy, reaffirming the strong diplomatic and naval ties between the two nations.

Paying official visits to the Navy Headquarters and the Western Naval Command, the Commanding Officer KRI BRAWIJAYA-320 also engaged in a series of meetings with senior naval officers, with discussions centered on matters of bilateral importance.

During the stay in Colombo, crew members of the ship had the opportunity to explore some tourist attractions in the city.
