Sri Lanka Navy extends healthcare outreach with Jaffna dental mission

In a continuing commitment to its naval social responsibility mandate, the Sri Lanka Navy successfully conducted a series of mobile dental clinics across the Jaffna district from 21 to 25 Aug 25.

The initiative, a collaborative effort between the Navy's Dental Services and the Jaffna Regional Director of Health Services, was held at multiple locations. These included Viyavil Saywa Vidyalaya and the village of Ponnalei in Kareinagar, Nallinakkapuram village in Kankasanthurei, SLNS Welusumana and the Naval Deployment Veththalakerni.

The clinics provided complimentary dental health services to local community, students, and naval personnel. Beyond treatment, the program also focused on community education, offering vital information on maintaining proper oral hygiene practices.
