Tri service perspectives - Dialogue on Training, Admin & Welfare of sailors/ other ranks

A one-day sailor/ other rank centric workshop, led by the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy PRMGB Pussalamankada and attended by Warrant Officers from the tri-services, was held on 16 Jul 25 at the Navy Headquarters. On the sidelines of the programme, the group of Warrant Officers had the privilege of meeting with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda as well.

The workshop was attended by Assistant Regiment Sergeant Major of the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and Command Master Warrant Officer of the Sri Lanka Air Force together with a group of Warrant Officers from the sister services. The workshop paved the way for productive discussions on administrative, welfare, and training issues pertinent to other ranks across the services. As part of the event, the visiting Warrant Officers also toured SLNS Gajabahu, gaining experience of the Sri Lanka Navy’s operational capabilities and maritime infrastructure.

Marking the significance of the event the workshop participants posed for a group photograph with the Commander of the Navy and the Warrant Officers from the Sri Lanka Army and Air Force presented mementos.
