Navy brings smiles ashore with mobile dental clinics

In continuation of Naval Social Responsibility initiatives, the Navy conducted a series of mobile dental clinics from 13 to 16 Jul 25. The programmes were held in the Ampara District, in celebration of the World Oral Health Day, World Children’s Day and 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy.

The Sri Lanka Navy Dental Service joined hands with the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and Regional Directorate of Dental Services, Kalmunai, while Unilever PLC sponsored the programmes, held at Sri Sumangalaramaya Damma School in Himadurawa, Sinhapura Sinhala Vidyalaya and Urani Saraswathi Maha Vidyalaya in Pottuvil.

The events successfully carried out with screening and treatments for around 340 school children also giving them access to vital awareness in oral hygiene and quality dental care.
