Navy gives communities a reason to smile with free dental care
In continuation of Naval Social Responsibility initiatives, the Navy conducted a series of dental health camps from 03 to 07 Jun 25. The programmes were held in Maho and Kumbukgate in Kurunegala and Mundalama, Kottukachchiya and Gangewadiya in Puttalam, in a gesture aimed at giving back to the community.
The Sri Lanka Navy Dental Service joined hands with the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and Unilever PLC which sponsored the programmes, to organize these events at Wegalla Vidyalaya, Kumbukgate, Naval Deployment Maho, Sinhala Primary School, Mundalama, Wadaththa Kottukachchiya Siri Saranankara Pirivena and Rapid Action Boat Squadron Headquarters in Gangewadiya.
The events saw a large turnout of residents including clergies and school children, gaining access to vital awareness in oral hygiene and quality dental care.
