Commander of the Navy shares insights at 12th Multilateral Maritime Virtual Key Leadership Engagement
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda highlighted several matters pertinent to maritime security in the Indo-Pacific by collaborating through innovation and technology at the 12th Multilateral Maritime Virtual Key Leadership Engagement held on 18 Jun 25. Hosted by U.S. Pacific Fleet Commander, Admiral Steve Koehler, the virtual engagement was held at the Pacific Fleet Headquarters, Hawaii.
Representatives from 19 nations took part in the event, with 13 of them being Navy Chiefs from countries of Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Fiji, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga and Vietnam.
Focused on "Achieving Maritime Security in the Indo-Pacific through Innovation and Technology” the seminar brought together naval leaders across from the world and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy exchanged strategic perspectives on the Sri Lanka Navy's role in safeguarding regional maritime security.
