Logistics excellence achieved with certificate awarding to LLMC No. 9

The Long Logistics Management Course (LLMC) No. 9 concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony on 01 June 25, at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium in Trincomalee. The event was dignified by the presence of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, as the Chief Guest, at the invitation of Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph.

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony, was a momentous occasion where student officers were awarded certificates by the Commander of the Navy. Thus, Lieutenant Commander (S) DGM Weerarathne received recognition for achieving the highest aggregate in academic subjects, while Lieutenant Commander (S) SYHK Karunarathna earned the top honours in naval subjects. Additionally, Lieutenant Commander (S) SWGMKB Wijayakoon was adjudged as the most inspired officer of the course.

After the certificate awarding ceremony, the Commander of the Navy extended his congratulations to the certificate recipients. He emphasized that training and development are essential factors for institutional progress, and therefore, senior officers with experience must continuously work towards guiding young officers. He further stated that the achievements gained in the field of education not only provide strong motivation to attain professional excellence but also set a great example. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated training staffs of the Naval and Maritime Academy as well as the Kotelawala Defence University for their efforts in this endeavour.
