Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera assumes duties as Commander Eastern Naval Area

Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera, the newly appointed Commander Eastern Naval Area, assumed duties at the Command Headquarters in Trincomalee on 28 May 25.

The newly appointed Area Commander was received to the Eastern Naval Command in compliance with naval traditions. Thereafter, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe formally handed over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera.
