Navy continues social responsibility efforts with blood donation events

In a heartwarming act of social responsibility, the Sri Lanka Navy organized two blood donation campaigns at SLNS Thammanna and the Naval Hospital in the Eastern Naval Command on 22 and 23 May 25.

These blood donation drives were organized on the directives of the Commander of the Navy, honouring National War Heroes’ commemoration and Vesak festival. The first event took place on 22 May in collaboration with the Mannar District Hospital Blood Bank, overseen by the Commander North Central Naval Area and the Commanding Officer SLNS Thammanna. The second drive was held on 23 May at the Eastern Command Naval Hospital under the supervision of the Commander of the Eastern Naval Area.

A significant number of naval personnel from the North Central and Eastern Naval Commands enthusiastically volunteered to donate blood, reinforcing the Navy’s dedication to serving the community.
