Northern Naval Command celebrates vibrant New Year festival

The Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival (Bak Maha Ulela) of the Northern Naval Command was celebrated with great enthusiasm at SLNS Uttara on 18 Apr 25. The Deputy Area Commander Northern Naval presided over the event as the Chief Guest.

The festival highlighted traditional New Year customs, including ceremonial rituals and a variety of folk games, alongside fun-filled activities for all attendees. Officers and sailors from the Northern Naval Command and their families joined in the celebrations, making the event a memorable occasion.
