Northwestern Naval Command hosts colourful New Year festival

The Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival (Bak Maha Ulela) of the Northwestern Naval Command was held on a colourful note at SLNS Barana on 16 Apr 25. The event was graced by the Commander Northwestern Naval Area, as the Chief Guest.

This New Year celebration, centered on time-honoured New Year customs and rituals, featured traditional folk games along with various entertaining activities.

The event was attended by officers and sailors from the Northwestern Naval Command and their family members.
