Community gains access to clean water through RO plant at Sri Mahasen Viharaya in Polonnaruwa

A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, built as part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) Project by the Navy's Research and Development Unit was declared open at Sri Mahasen Viharaya in the village of Mahindagama, Polonnaruwa on 03 Apr 25.

The project, carried out with industrial expertise of the Research and Development Unit, marked the 1,088th unit delivered under the NSR Project. Financial support for this worthwhile project was made possible by the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps. This RO plant has a daily purification capacity of about 10,000 liters, providing safe drinking water to the people in the locality of Mahindagama.
