Let’s nurture mangroves as they nurture the planet

On the sidelines of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ campaign, the Sri Lanka Navy took the lead in a mangrove planting initiative at the pristine shores of Nilaveli on 08 Mar 25. The project, which focused on mangrove restoration and beach conservation to preserve the marine ecological system, was organized by the Eastern Naval Command.

The Commander Eastern Naval Area and a group of officers and sailors also contributed their time and energy to ensure the success of the project, to promote environmental awareness.
