RO plant at Sri Devananda National School, Tissamaharama declared open for community use
A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, built as part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) Project by the Navy's Research and Development Unit was declared open at Sri Devananda National School, Tissamaharama in Hambantota on 27 Feb 25. The project, carried out with industrial expertise of the Research and Development Unit, marked the 1084th unit delivered under the NSR Project. The magnanimous initiative was sponsored by engineer, Mr. Buddhi Mangala.
This RO plant has a daily purification capacity of about 10000 liters, providing safe drinking water to the children of the school and people in the locality.
