Rear Admiral HNS Perera, who was newly appointed as Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, assumed duties of the appointment today (13 Feb 25) at the Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) Headquarters, Welisara.

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) played a key role in reviving sports shooting by refurbishing 34 decommissioned 84S semi-automatic rifles for the National Rifle Association of Sri Lanka (NRASL). The refurbished rifles were distributed among registered shooting clubs at the Panaluwa Firing Range on 08 Feb 25.
