Rear Admiral HNS Perera assumes command as Commandant VNF

Rear Admiral HNS Perera, who was newly appointed as Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, assumed duties of the appointment today (13 Feb 25) at the Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) Headquarters, Welisara.

The incoming Commandant VNF was received at the Volunteer Naval Force Headquarters in accordance with time-honoured naval traditions. Thereupon, his predecessor, Deputy Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe formally handed over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to Rear Admiral HNS Perera.

After senior officers congratulated the outgoing Commandant appreciative of his service, the VNF Headquarters bade him customary farewell in compliance with naval traditions.
