Italian Ambassador to Sri Lanka meets with Commander of the Navy

The Italian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Damiano Francovigh met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda today (07 Feb 25) at Navy Headquarters in Colombo.

During this formal interaction, the Ambassador Damiano Francovigh took the opportunity to wish Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda success and fulfillment in his new appointment as Commander of the Navy.The discussion between them mainly focused on several matters of bilateral importance as well as cordial relations between the two countries.

The occasion was also attended by the Military Attaché to the Embassy of Italy based in New Delhi and accredited to Sri Lanka, Captain Fabio CIMA. The meeting culminated with an exchange of mementoes, symbolizing cooperation and goodwill.
