Sri Lanka Navy pays final tribute to Royal Ceylon Navy veteran at Kayts

The Sri Lanka Navy paid final tribute to Ex-Petty Officer Arulanandam Mariampillai, a veteran of the Royal Ceylon Navy, during a solemn ceremony on Kayts Island on 02nd January 2025. The tribute, conducted with precision and in accordance with naval traditions, followed his passing on 31st December 2024.

Petty Officer Mariampillai joined the Royal Ceylon Navy on 30th December 1954 and served with dedication for 22 years before retiring on 29th December 1976.

The Northern Naval Command organized the funeral arrangements, ensuring they adhered to the cherished traditions that honour the Navy's legacy and its esteemed personnel.
