Coinciding with the 74th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy and the 30th SLNS Uththara Day, a blood donation campaign was held at the Naval Hospital of Northern Command on 18th December 2024.

The Sri Lanka Navy played a role in the successful completion of the Air-Sea Rescue Course conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) on 18th December 2024 at Browns Beach, Negombo.

The Sri Lanka Navy introduced the sport of knife throwing to its sports programme through a groundbreaking three-day workshop held at the Welisara Naval Complex from 12th to 14th December 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka.

The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), presided over a meeting to address the issues related to the benefits and concessions of disabled veterans at the Disaster Management Centre today (Dec 11).
