Navy plays a part in air-sea rescue courses
The Sri Lanka Navy played a role in the successful completion of the Air-Sea Rescue Course conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) on 18th December 2024 at Browns Beach, Negombo.
This training, conducted from 04th November to 20th December 2024, was designed for firefighters of the Fire School and Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron (FS & FTMS) at SLAF Katunayake. The programme aimed to equip fire rescue officers with advanced skills in rope rescue operations, including air-to-land and air-to-sea rescues.
In the final phase of the exercise, the Navy provided essential craft and skilled personnel, ensuring the programme's success.
