Aloka Puja at Sandahiru Seya blesses Navy on 74th Anniversary
The Sri Lanka Navy organized an Aloka Puja to illuminate the Sandahiru Seya premises, to invoke blessings on the occasion of 74th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy on 09th December 2024. The event was presided by Deputy Area Commander North Central Naval Area, Commodore Mangala Mummullage.
Going by the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, the Navy organized multi-religious events in view of the anniversary celebrations. During these events merits were transferred on fallen naval veterans who made supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation and blessings were invoked on both retired and serving naval personnel and their family members.
As an extension of these events, the Aloka Puja took place at Sandahiru Seya on the evening of 09th December. On this occasion, members of Maha Sangha transferred merits on fallen naval war veterans and blessings were invoked on Commander of the Navy, serving and retired naval personnel and their family members, on the occasion of 74th Anniversary of the Navy.
