Navy conducts dental clinics in Embilipitiya

The Directorate of Dental Services Sri Lanka Navy, in collaboration with the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and Good Neighbours Foundation (Guarantee) Limited, successfully conducted another phase of a dental care initiative in Embilipitiya area on 05th and 06th December 2024.

These programmes aimed to provide high-quality dental care to underserved communities while promoting oral hygiene and preventive care. The dental clinics took place at Modarawana Vidyalaya and Thorakolayaya Maha Vidyalaya in Embilipitiya. Fourhundred and sixty four (464) school children received dental treatment and valuable guidance on maintaining good oral heal during these programmes.

Surgeon Commander (Dental) Ashani Rathnakeerthi, Senior Staff Officer (Dental Services), and Surgeon Lieutenant Commander (Dental) Ranawaka Arachchi, Acting Command Dental Officer (West), led the efforts. Following these events, children who attended these programmes were presented gifts as well.
