03 new RO plants declared open in Anuradhapura
The Navy's Research and Development Unit, in partnership with the Naval Social Responsibility Project and funded by the Presidential Secretariat, is leading a project to install 31 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants across the Anuradhapura district. On 06th December 2024, 03 more RO plants were inaugurated at Musnewa Yalegama Village in Galnewa Divisional Secretariat, Community Hall premises of Angamuwa Fisheries Village and Maligatenna Purana Raja Maha Viharaya in Rajanganaya Divisional Secretariat.
So far, 12 RO plants have been installed under this initiative, with 19 more scheduled to be operational by 13th December. These installations will benefit residents in the Galnewa, Tambuththegama, Kekirawa, Talawa, Kahatagasdigiliya, Nochchiyagama, and Tirappane Divisional Secretariats.
