Navy conducts dental clinics in Matara

The Navy's Dental Services, in collaboration with the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit and Good Neighbours Foundation (Guarantee) Limited, successfully conducted the second phase of a dental care initiative in Thalahitiyagoda and Devalegama, Matara, on 02nd and 03rd December 2024. The President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mala Lamahewa, attended the events, witnessing their impactful execution.

These programmes, held covering several areas belonging to the Southern Naval Command, aimed to provide high-quality dental care to underserved communities while promoting oral hygiene and preventive care. The dental clinics took place at Parakrama Vidyalaya, Thalahitiyagoda, and Sri Aththadassaramaya, Devalegama. Surgeon Captain (Dental) Indira Dharmapriya, Deputy Director of Naval Dental Services, and Surgeon Commander (Dental) Kanishka Mudalige, Command Dental Officer (South), led the efforts.
