Four (04) more RO plants declared open in Anuradhapura district

Funded by the Presidential Secretariat, the Navy's Research and Development Unit, in collaboration with the Naval Social Responsibility Project, is spearheading a special initiative to install 31 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants across 31 locations in the Anuradhapura district. As part of this, 04 more RO plants were declared open on 04th December 2024 at Janasirigama in Galenbindunuwewa Divisional Secretariat, Hinguruwewagama, Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya of 21 Colony West and Mahagaswewa Maha Vidyalaya.

As part of this special initiative, 07 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants have already been installed, with an additional 24 are set to be operational by 13th December. These new installations will serve the Padaviya, Galnewa, Tambuththegama, Kekirawa, Talawa, Kahatagasdigiliya, Nochchiyagama, Horowpothana, and Tirappane Divisional Secretariats in the Anuradhapura district.
