Commodore Harsha De Silva assumes duties as Acting Commander Southeastern Naval Area

Commodore Harsha De Silva assumed duties as Acting Commander Southeastern Naval Area at the Command Headquarters today (30th October 2024).

Commodore Harsha De Silva was received to the South Eastern Naval Command in accordance with time-honoured naval traditions. Thereupon, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Thushara Karunathunga handed over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to the newly appointed Acting Area Commander.

Concluding the proceedings of the event, senior officers of the Southeastern Naval Command congratulated the outgoing Commander appreciative of his tenure. Following naval traditions, he was given a formal farewell with precision before his departure from the Command.
