Health awareness programme at Navy HQ focuses on non-communicable disease prevention

A special health awareness programme aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases was held at the Navy Headquarters on 16th October 2024, led by Consultant Cardiologist Rear Admiral Gotabaya Ranasinghe.

The event was attended by a group of senior and junior officers and sailors from the Navy Headquarters and Western Naval Command. During the programme, the importance of adopting healthy habits, proper diet patterns, and regular exercise to avoid life-threatening non-communicable diseases was emphasized.

The Navy ensured that this valuable information reaches all personnel by publicizing the lecture through the Navy’s internal website.
