Rear Admiral Lashanth N Hewawitharana assumes duties as Director General Services

Rear Admiral Lashanth N Hewawitharana, Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, assumed duties as Director General Services of the Sri Lanka Navy at the Navy Headquarters today (18th October 2024).

Rear Admiral Priyal Withanage, who discharged duties as Director General Services earlier, handed over duties and responsibilities of the appointment to Rear Admiral Lashanth N Hewawitharana at the office of Director General Services.

With his new appointment, Rear Admiral Lashanth N Hewawitharana will undertake the roles of Commandant Volunteer Naval Force and Director General of Services.
