Commander of the Navy attends KDU General Convocation 2024

Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, Commander of the Navy, graced the second session of the General Convocation 2024 of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) as the Chief Guest. The event took place today (14th October 2024) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. This year's convocation, held on 14th and 15th October, will award degrees to 1,732 graduates from various faculties and affiliated military institutions.

Upon his arrival, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, was warmly welcomed by the Chancellor of KDU, General Shantha Kottegoda (Retd), and Vice Chancellor, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara. He was then escorted to the main hall for the ceremony. During the second session, Vice Admiral Perera presented the prestigious gold award to the best graduate and delivered an address to the distinguished audience.
