Commander of the Navy calls on new Secretary of Defence

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera called on new Secretary of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Defence Headquarters Complex in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte today (02nd October 2024).

During the customary military courtesy call, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera extended his best wishes to Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd). This marked their first official meeting following the appointment of Air Vice Marshal Thuyacontha (Retd) as the new Secretary of Defence. During the meeting, they discussed various Navy-related matters concerning national security.
