Naval Printing Unit enhances efficiency with new digital printing technology
The Sri Lanka Navy took a significant step forward in modernizing its printing operations by introducing a cutting-edge digital printing platform. The launch of digital printing operations took place on 05th September 2024 at the Naval Printing Unit, with Director General Training, Rear Admiral Buddhika Liyanagamage, in attendance.
The Naval Printing Unit was established at the Welisara Naval Complex in 2015 with the goal of reducing the significant costs and time associated with outsourcing the Navy's printing needs. This initiative also ensures that all printing requirements are met with higher quality.
In line with efforts to enhance the services of the Naval Printing Unit, a new printer equipped with digital printing capabilities was installed, further expanding the unit's operational capacity.
The newly established printing facility will efficiently cater to the Navy's digital printing requirements, as well as meet the diverse digital printing needs of naval personnel.
Senior officers from the Navy Headquarters and Welisara Naval Complex, the Officer in Charge of Naval Printing Unit, Captain Chaminda Wijesiri and a group of officers were also present on this occasion.
