Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara assumes duties as Commander North Central Naval Area

Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara assumed duties as Commander North Central Naval Area at the North Central Naval Command Headquarters today (15th August 2024).

The newly appointed Commander was received to the North Central Naval Command in accordance with time-honoured naval traditions. Thereupon, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Damian Fernando handed over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to the newly appointed Area Commander.

Concluding the proceedings of the event, senior officers of the North Central Naval Command congratulated the outgoing Commander appreciative of his tenure. Next the Command bade customary farewell to the outgoing Commander, in precision with naval traditions.
