War heroes have made significant sacrifices to protect the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity, ending nearly three decades of terrorism. Their sacrifices, including the loss of lives and disabilities suffered, were crucial in successfully ending terrorism once and for all. The Ranaviru Seva Authority has implemented a programme to provide prosthetic legs to war heroes who have lost their legs during the humanitarian operation.

In this programme, aimed at providing prosthetic legs to naval personnel who have lost their legs, the Commanding Officer SLNS Shilpa, Captain Sanjeewa Annathugoda oversaw the presentation of the prosthetic limb to the naval war veteran. The initiative was made possible through contributions from the Navy’s Welfare Directorate and Naval Social Responsibility Fund.
