Serendib World Record holding Rear Admiral Princely Liyanage (Retd) meets Commander of the Navy
Rear Admiral Princely Liyanage (Retd), the individual who holds the Serendib World Record for climbing up and down Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) using different routes within 24 hours, met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters today (25th April 2024).
After a warm welcome for Rear Admiral Princely Liyanage (Retd), who achieved a remarkable feat bringing honour to the Sri Lanka Navy and the country, a cordial meeting took place between Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and Rear Admiral Princely Liyanage (Retd) to discuss the details of his record-setting achievement.
On this occasion, Rear Admiral Liyanage (Retd) thanked the Commander of the Navy for the Navy's exceptional support in setting the Serendib World Record, showcasing the trophy he received for this remarkable accomplishment. Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera praised Rear Admiral Liyanage's determination and dedication in achieving this milestone even after retirement, and extended his congratulations.
The occasion culminated with an exchange of mementoes between both parties. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy and Director General Engineering, Rear Admiral Ravi Ranasinghe, Director General Services, Rear Admiral Priyal Vithanage and Naval Assistant to the Commander of the Navy, Commodore Kosala Warnakulasooriya were also present on this occasion.
