India – Sri Lanka Defence cooperation Seminar held in Colombo
A seminar themed ‘India – Sri Lanka Defence Co-operation’, organized by the High Commission of India, was held at Hotel Taj Samudra in Colombo on 10th April 2024. The seminar was graced by the State Minister of Defence, Honorable Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, as the Chief Guest, was also attended by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.
The seminar aimed to discover innovative strategies for India and Sri Lanka to collaborate, improving Sri Lanka's Armed Forces' capability development, through fruitful deliberation.
The High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Santosh Jha, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva, the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, senior armed forces personnel, government officials, entrepreneurs from both India and Sri Lanka and distinguished invitees were also present on this occasion.
