Navy Seva Vanitha New Year Fair opens in Welisara

At the invitation of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs Mala Lamahewa, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera declared open Navy Seva Vanitha New Year Fair at the Welisara Naval Complex today (10th April 2024). NSVU organizes this annual fair for the benefit of naval personnel and their families, aiming to enhance their welfare.

Following the ceremonial lighting of the oil lamp by the Commander of the Navy, the Seva Vanitha New Year Fair was officially opened. Subsequently, high-ranking officials, including the Navy Commander and the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, visited and inspected the stalls.

The fair will offer naval personnel, their families, and Navy’s civil staff employees the chance to buy consumer goods at highly discounted rates.

The Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake, Director Generals, flag-ranking officers, officers from the Navy Headquarters and Western Naval Command, NSVU executive and committee members, lady officers, sailors and civil staff employees were also present on this occasion.
