CMETSL Navy members receive membership cards and certificates

The awarding of membership cards and certificates to the Navy officers of College of Military Engineering & Technology Sri Lanka (CMETSL) took place on 09th February 2024 at the Navy Headquarters. The event was graced by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera as the Chief Guest, with the attendance of the President of CMETSL, Director General Engineering, Rear Admiral Ravi Ranashinge and other executive committee members of CMETSL from the Navy.

Established on 13th October 2022, CMETSL has embarked on a mission to influence, adopt and establish internationally recognized professional practices in Military Engineering and Technology, aspiring for sustainable National Security and Development.

A total of 60 officers belonging to the Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering and Information Technology branches of the Navy were honoured during the ceremony, receiving their memberships under different categories such as Fellow, Member, Associate Member and Affiliate Member.

The occasion was also attended by Director General Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Rear Admiral Viraj Leelarathna, Director General Civil Engineering, Rear Admiral Hiran Balasooriya, Director Naval Information Technology, Commodore Chaminda Ranaweera and a group of senior officers from engineering and technology branches of the Navy.
