Navy provides medical-grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant to Walasmulla Base Hospital
As part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) initiatives, a medical-grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was declared open at the Walasmulla Base Hospital on 22nd December 2023. The event was held under the patronage of the Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe.
The Navy is engaged in this magnanimous initiative, providing manpower and industrial expertise, under the guidance of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. In the meantime, the Ministry of Health has shown much support and provided backing for this commendable project.
The Navy efficiently installed and delivered this medical-grade RO plant to the Kidney Treatment Unit of Walasmulla Base Hospital within a remarkable period of just 45 days, addressing a critical need.
The occasion was also attended by a group of government officials, naval officers and staff members of Walasmulla Base Hospital.
