Commander of the Navy attends graduation ceremony of NDC Course No.2

The graduation ceremony of Course No.2 of the National Defence College (NDC), Sri Lanka was held under the auspices of the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe at Eagles’ Lakeside, Aththidiya on 21st November 2023. The colourful ceremony, held in dignified sequence, was also attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.

The distinguished event saw 36 senior officers (15 officers from the Army, 08 officers from the Navy, 07 officers from the Air Force and 06 officers from the Police) being graduated on successful completion of NDC Course No.2. In recognition of academic excellence of the course participants, His Excellency the President presented special awards to the topmost achievers of each service.

Diplomatic Corps, the Chief of Staff and Senior Adviser to the President on National Security, Mr. Sagala Ratnayaka, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd), Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva, Commanders of sister services, Inspector General of Police, Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara, Commandant and academic staff of NDC, state officials, senior officers from tri-forces, officers of Course No.2 and their family members were also present on this occasion.
