Commodore Chandima Silva assumes duties as Acting Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet

Commodore Chandima Silva assumed duties as Acting Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet (FOCNF) at his office in the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee on 19th July 2023.

Upon his arrival, the incoming Acting Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet was received in compliance with naval traditions. There upon, his predecessor Rear Admiral Nishantha Amarosa handed over the duties of the appointment to Commodore Chandima Silva.

Marking his departure from the Naval Dockyard, the outgoing Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet was accorded a Guard of Honour in precision with naval customs after the officers extended best wishes to him in appreciation of the service he rendered.
