Hospital Services Council Sri Lanka provides medical equipment to Navy General Hospital, Welisara
As part of social responsibility initiatives being implemented under the patronage of Director of Hospital Services Council Sri Lanka, Rajakeeya Panditha Ven. Rajawelle Subuthi Thera, a magnanimous programme focused on distribution of medical equipment to government hospitals, including the Navy General Hospital, Welisara was held at the Naval complex in Welisara on 17th July 2023. The programme which was a significant gesture aimed at bolstering healthcare services, was also attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.
Accordingly, the Navy General Hospital and other Naval Hospitals will receive a large amount of medical equipment as part of this generous gesture. In this regard, two medical equipment were symbolically handed over to the Navy General Hospital and Naval Nurses’ Training School on 17th July 2023.
Addressing the gathering, the Commander of the Navy appreciated this timely programme being conducted under the wise counsel of the Rajakeeya Panditha Ven. Rajawelle Subuthi Thera and said that this project will be a great contribution to the health sector of the country. Adding further, the Commander of the Navy underlined the contribution of the Sri Lanka Navy in undertaking various infrastructure development in health sector and pledged the Navy’s continuous support in such endeavours in due course as well.
Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva, Director General Health Services, Rear Admiral Janaka Marambe, officers and a group of officers from the Ministry of Health were also present on this occasion.
