Blood donation camp held in view of 72nd Anniversary of the Navy successfully concludes in Western Naval Command
A blood donation campaign organised in view of the 72nd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy was successfully held at the Navy General Hospital in Welisara on 27th December 2022.
Sri Lanka Navy celebrated its 72nd Anniversary on 09th December giving pride and place to social responsibility initiatives and religious programmes.
Following the directive of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and under the supervision of Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara, this magnanimous programme had been organised. The Navy medical professionals in the Western Naval Command worked in tandem with the National Blood Transfusion Service, Colombo for the successful conduct of this event.
A large group of naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command voluntarily participated in the programme by donating their blood for a noble cause.
