Newly appointed Commander of the Navy calls on the President

Upon assumption of duties as the 25th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera paid a courtesy call on Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President and Commander - in - Chief of the Armed Forces of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka at the Presidential Secretariat today (19th December 2022).

In this first formal courtesy call, the President extended best wishes on the appointment of Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera as the 25th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. The ensuing cordial discussion between them mainly focused on several matters, including the Navy’s contribution towards nation-building endeavours.

Commander of the Navy also presented a memento to the President, marking the significance of this special occasion.
