SLNS Gajabahu open doors for children on their special day

Sri Lanka Navy on 02nd October 2022 organized a special programme for the children, on the occasion of the World Children's Day celebrations, marked in Sri Lanka annually on 01st October. The programme was held onboard SLNS Gajabahu, allowing an unprecedented experience for a group of children who took part in the event.

This year’s Children's Day was celebrated in Sri Lanka under the theme ‘Sinaha Dakina Ape Lovak’. Accordingly, a group of children visited SLNS Gajabahu at the Colombo Harbour. The children spent a quality time on the ship as it turned out to be a rare opportunity and a day to remember in their life. They were also provided with refreshments by the Navy. On previous occasions, the Navy has made opportunities for children to visit its ships, coinciding with World Children's Day.

The national carrier Sri Lankan Airline, the Galle Face Hotel, and Ebert Silva Holidays also joined hands with this worthy cause to make this day memorable for the children who visited SLNS Gajabahu.
