Southeastern Naval Command conducts badminton tournament

A badminton tournament cum a coaching programme organized by the Southeastern Naval Command was held at the Command Badminton Court Complex from 28th to 30th December 2021.

The events were held with the intention of prompting the physical fitness policy of Sri Lanka Navy, through engagement in sports activities. At the invitation of Commander Southeastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake, the coaching sessions were conducted by Mr. Janka Dias, a level 1 coacher of Sri Lanka Badminton Association.

Among the Badminton players who competed in the tournament, JSPS Bandara and Sub Lieutenant AHTT Tharuka won prizes as the emerging player and most promising player of the tournament.
