SLNS ‘Shilpa’ marks its 13th anniversary

The 13^th anniversary of SLNS ‘Shilpa’ in the Western Naval Command celebrated its 13^th anniversary on high note, on 27^th September 2020.

Following the directives of it Commanding Officer, the ship’s company of SLNS ‘Shilpa’ had organized a range of celebratory events to mark the 13th anniversary of the establishment which was commissioned on 27^th September 2007, giving prominence to religious practices. Meanwhile, in the morning (27^th September) the Commanding Officer inspected divisions upholding the repute of rich naval traditions and addressed the ship’s company.

In parallel with the anniversary celebrations, the Commanding Officer and ship’s company sat together to partake ‘Barakana’- the age old naval tradition of having meals together in friendly atmosphere.
