Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Dias assumes duties as Commander North Central Naval Area

Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Dias assumed duties as the Commander North Central Naval Area at the Command Headquarters on 14th September 2020.

The newly appointed Area Commander was received to the North Central Naval Command, according a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions. Subsequently, Rear Admiral Dias assumed duties of the new appointment giving prominence to religious rituals.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Area Commander, Rear Admiral Lalith Dissanayake was sent off according a Guard of Honour on a customary note. Deputy Area Commander, Commanding Officers, Heads of Departments and a group of officers attached to the command were also present on this occasion.
