Central Yanmar Workshop of North Central Naval Command declared open

The newly established Yanmar Workshop of the North Central Naval Command was declared open by Commander North Central Naval Area at SLNS Pandukabhaya on 18th August 2020.

The new facility built utilizing the skilled labour and technical assistance enabled by the Commodore Superintendent of Engineering Department and Command Civil Engineering Department in North Central Naval Command will be of great value to undertake major overhauls, breakdown repairs of craft equipped with Yanmar engines. To coincide with the inauguration the Yanmar workshop, the reconstructed Security Office of SLNS Pandukabhaya was too declared open on the same day.

Deputy Area Commander of North Central Naval Area, Departmental Heads, Commanding Officer SLNS Pandukabhaya and a group of officers and sailors from the command were also present on these occasions.
