Officer Cadets of 63rd intake receive letters of appointment
Fulfilling one of their desires to pursue a career among the men in blue, a new batch of Officer Cadets of the 63rd intake received their letters of appointment from Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, during a ceremony held at the Admiral Somatilake Dissanayake Auditorium, Navy Headquarters on 19th August 2020.
Making his remark on the occasion, Commander of the Navy congratulated the newly enlisted Officer Cadets and warmly welcomed them to the naval family. Further, he applauded the wise decision taken by this bunch of young blood to join Sri Lanka Navy, which has been the home to charismatic naval officers. While opining of the opportunities on offer for a prospective naval officer, the Navy Commander also urged the new enlistees to be strong both mentally and physically to run into any challenge thrown at them in their careers. The Navy Chief also did not forget to express his gratitude to the proud parents of the recently enlisted Officer Cadets for being supportive to go along with the decision of their beloved sons.
The event was also attended by a group of senior and junior officers attached to the Navy Headquarters as well as parents of new enlistees.
