Commander of the Navy worships secred Jayasri Maha Bodhi and receives blessings

Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, after assuming office as the 24^th Commander of the Navy, paid homage at sacred Jayasri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura, on 25^th July 2020. The President of the NSVU as well as the beloved wife of Commander of the Navy, Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne and a host of senior Naval officers were present on the occasion.

Subsequently, Commander of the Navy called on the Chief Incumbent of Atamastana Ven. Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thero and received blessings and wise counsel from the Thero. The Nayaka Thero commended the navy's contribution in the construction work of temple premises.

Commander of the Navy assured the Nayaka Thero about the Navy's continuous assistance for the future construction work too.
